7th December 2022, Wednesday, Sunset at the Bay

We took a short walk down to the water’s edge and discovered that the beach was made up of black volcanic rocks and “dead” coral pieces.

We then headed off to find the Super U supermarket in a very new mall ( we didn’t have long there as Jason was due on a business call) but I shall return!

We had a quick lunch back at their home before travelling inland to pick up their new car. It is actually more sensible and cheaper to buy than to continuously rent. The plan was for us to follow them back but unfortunately for us the traffic policeman had other ideas and stopped the traffic after them leaving us behind. It was the worst possible place to lose them as I had to try and find us on Google maps and direct us and the first turning was missed! I say no more but Geoff was not pleased with me!

Once the directions were in place we managed to get back quite well and just in time for us to head out to watch the sunset over the ocean at The Bay restaurant. Jason had booked us a table and it was a lovely setting.

The animals are getting used to us and us to them.

The time went quickly today and tomorrow we will explore in our rented car.
